From The Editor

Welcome to this fourteenth issue of Practical Update, a journal devoted to the presentation of practical and useful information for general education teachers and special education teachers working with mildly handicapped students in the general education classroom and in the resource rooom. I hope you find in this issue something of use to you and our students.

I am amazed and chagrined that the last issue of Practical Update was the August 2003 issue. What happened to Nov 2003 through August 2005? It looks like we have missed 8 issuse. For those of you subscribed to Practical Update, your subscriptions will be adjusted accordingly.

In this issue, Dr. John Wasson discusses how you can use single subject research methodology to make decisions about specific students (Using a Single Subject Research Strategy To Decide if Your Pupil Should use Colored Overlays).

Mr. John Helland, in his Thinking About Reading column, shares with us information about teacher/student response to a state testing program in reading. Many of his observations, might be relevant to the testing program involved in "No Child Left Behind."

Dr. John Wasson discusses in detail, how you can create a home page for a course of study you wish to offer on the internet (Web Based Instruction: Creating a Course Homepage on the Internet).

Mr. David Wasson returns with his column, Colorado Collaboration Tales and shares his experiences with bicyles and other behavior plan concerns.
